Steven is a native of Northwest Louisiana, being raised in the small town of Coushatta. He loves to be outdoors: hunting (especially waterfowl), running, hiking, camping, and fishing. By far, Steven's favorite activity is to hang out with his three girls (his wife, Meredith, and two daughters, Ann and Lia), his dogs Sam and Ivy, and spend time with friends. He is an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church, and earned his doctorate in Church Leadership from Perkins School of Theology/SMU in Dallas, Texas. He enjoys writing, and has published 5 books. He is also a commissioned officer in the United States Army Reserve, and serves as a chaplain for the 451st Civil Affairs Battalion based out of Houston, Texas. Steven and his family currently make their home in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he serves as the Senior Pastor of First Methodist Church of Shreveport.
