I am a pianist and composer dedicated to sharing the beauty of the gospel of Jesus Christ through music. My performances have taken me to concert halls across the United States, including Carnegie Hall, the DiMenna Center for the Arts, Opera America, the United Palace, and the Manhattan School of Music. I spent six years as a freelance pianist in New York City, and I am a prizewinner of several composition competitions, with my works being premiered by choirs nationwide, including the Manhattan Chorale Ensemble. As a pianist for Redeemer Presbyterian Church in NYC, I played for worship services and concert programs, collaborating with a wide range of professional musicians who joyfully serve our risen Savior.
I see all music as a divinely inspired, God-created gift, and I am passionate about sharing this gift with others. I particularly enjoy performing alongside my violinist sister, Elizabeth. Together, we bring the same passion, energy, and dedication to the sonatas of Beethoven and Brahms as we do to our hymn arrangements for violin and piano. Our debut CD, December Carols, features my sacred Christmas duo arrangements with a classical twist and has been featured on classical radio stations throughout the United States, Europe, and Australia.
I hold a BM in Piano Performance from Centenary College and an MM in Piano Performance from the University of North Texas. Currently, I am in the dissertation stage of a DMA in Piano Performance/Church Music at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, where I have also served as an Adjunct Professor of Piano. Throughout my educational journey, First Methodist Church, Shreveport has been my church home, where I’ve accompanied adult, youth, and children’s choirs, played violin in the orchestra, and sung in the Chancel Choir alongside my mom. I am thrilled to officially join this incredible staff of caring individuals and to serve my church family in even more ways in the future!
