These are some of the things I am thankful for…
Jesus. I am thankful that He knows me, loves me and died for me so that I might live forever in eternity with Him.
Church. I am thankful for this body that He created when He died on the cross and called all of us to be bound to Him and one another through His body and blood.
Family. I am thankful for my family who has always supported my calling to the mission field; and I am thankful for my church family far and wide who have chosen to participate along side of us in the Kingdom work being done in Costa Rica.
Service. I am thankful to be able to live out my faith in Jesus Christ through acts of service in such a way that is visible to anyone who cares to see. I am thankful that through service in God’s name we are drawn nearer to Him and nearer to one another.
Hope. I am thankful that no matter how difficult, confusing or disappointing things might get, we know that the saving act of Jesus for the world has already been done and cannot be undone, and one day God’s kingdom will come on earth as it is in heaven.
FUMC Shreveport. I am thankful that FUMC Shreveport has such passion and heart for service and missions. I am thankful for all of the ways that God has already allowed us to be His witnesses together “in Jerusalem (Shreveport), throughout all of Judea and Samaria and even to the ends of the earth (Costa Rica)”. I am thankful for your partnership with Costa Rica Mission Projects and with my family so that together we can be church together with our brothers and sisters in Costa Rica.
I am blessed by Jesus, by church, by family, by service, by hope and by FUMC Shreveport. Thank You.
