As we reflect on the great ministry that took place in and through the people called First Methodist Church of Shreveport during 2025, it is clear that Jesus is preparing us for continued ministry in His name, through the power of the Holy Spirit, and to the glory of God the Father. Lives are being changed by the Gospel, momentum is building within our church family, and we are most assured of a future filled with hope, purpose, and continued Kingdom impact.
All this being said, First Shreveport will begin moving into a season of strategic and long-range planning shortly after Easter. We have carefully selected a dynamic and highly recommended organization to lead us through this season, A E Sloan Leadership, and the primary consultant engaging with us is the Rev. Dr. Matthew Lake.

The survey will be live through the end of Easter Sunday, April 5th, and we hope to hear from every single member of First Methodist Church of Shreveport. I am very excited about how this season will focus our church for the next 5, 10, and even 20 years of faithful and obedient ministry for Jesus Christ.
